I Want That: Chuck’s Entire Wardrobe

You know, it’s funny – this puppy hasn’t even hit Asheville yet:

(map from Accuweather)

…and I still managed to spend the entire day acting like I was snowed in. I watched “A Star Is Born” – first the Judy Garland version, then just the very beginning and very end of the Barbra Streisand version – Judy’s was far superior. (duuuu-uuuuuh) Then I started on the tragically short-lived “Pushing Daisies.”

It hit me around episode 2.

I want every item of clothing I’ve seen Chuck wear.

She’s so girly and sweet and chipper and vintage!

I mean LOOK AT HER (and ignore the creepy guy behind her). Her dresses are like dresses I dream about. Her dresses are the kind of dresses I would LEARN TO SEW FOR if I had the time and resources and room for a sewing machine. So I took action.

I didn’t buy myself a sewing machine (YET!). I did, however, scour Modcloth for dresses I thought would help me channel the fashion spirit of the lovely Chuck. Here’s what I found:

(pictured: Tupelo Honey Dress, Multi-talented Miss Dress, Bloom Moon Dress, and Make Arrangements Dress)

Floral prints and cinched waistlines are obviously key – the Tupelo Honey dress is my favorite. I just love its cut and the color of the skirt. I can picture myself wearing it to work, to walk around downtown, or on a date with Josh. I’m still terrible at shoes, but I think I could make my standard ballet flats or strappy sandals (in the summer) or even boots (if I had a good pair and was feeling crazy) work with any of these lovelies. I wish they were all mine!

I’ll wrap up tonight’s #avlsnomg shopping spree here. Check in tomorrow to make sure we haven’t gone stir crazy or bought cross-country skis and hit the arctic wilderness with our belongings strapped to our backs. You just never know how a person will react to #avlsnomg.
