I’ve decided to start giving you guys a weekly installment of my favorite things (online and off). I don’t really think we need more explanation that that, do you?
Favorite Thing #1: Allison Weiss
Our friend Allison rolled through town on her latest tour and crashed on our air mattress after her show at Club Hairspray here in Asheville. She and Josh shared a show at an art museum in Hickory, NC a few years ago, and I’ve been a fan of hers ever since. Favorite Thing #2: Thumbs Up For ‘Wock and Woll!’
So pretty much everyone on the internet has seen this video by now, but I love this year’s inspirational speech kid. (You may remember this post about how much I loved last year’s inspirational wunderkind.) Click the video to have your heart warmed and your spirits lifted.
Favorite Thing Number 3: The Schultzes
Every few months, I like to make time to look at our engagement and wedding albums from Cheyenne and Geoff Schultz, our fantastic photographers. Each time I look through those photos, I remember those days perfectly. Flossing my teeth with a piece of hair in the car on the way to meet Cheyenne and Geoff in Charlotte. (Gross. I know. Don’t judge!) What a good sport Josh was for our engagement session and how much fun we were having by the end. My nerves before they opened the doors to the church and my absolute joy when I saw Josh standing there waiting for me, cool as a cucumber.
Our photographers were one of my top priorities when it came to planning our wedding day, and I am as thrilled as I ever was that we found Cheyenne and Geoff. I can’t recommend them enough. They were perfect, as photographers and as our friends.
